2 From Anthony Amato: There were no children from the marriage of Robert Dolley and Mary Ann Amato. Bob had three sons: Robert (Bobby), William (Billy), and Thomas (Tommy). Bobs three children were the same ages as Mary Ann's and they called each other brothers. They were a very close knit of brothers. Later in life, they were able to purchase a pleasure fishing boat. Bob said the attorney told him that he was very impressed with the boys, as he had never seen such a close knit of brothers before. The first time I met Bob was at my sister Grace's house. We were having Christmas dinner. While eating, the subject of Sicily came up. My Dad said he was going back one day. Bob told him, "Papa, we will go this summer." I mentioned to Bob he did not know my Daddy, but Daddy would hold him to his word. Bob just smiled and said, "Anthony, and you do not know me." Sure enough that summer Bob took my Dad with my sister, Mary Ann to Sicily. It was suppose to be for two weeks. My dad was looking for a house and Bob extended the trip for another week and booked another flight. The morning of the flight, my dad told Bob that they could not go. He had a dream and knew where the house was. So Bob cancelled the flight. My dad found the house he dreamt of and was told that the old lady he was looking for had died a long time ago. However, her granddaughter lived around the block. He went around the block and knocked on the door of a house. I understand a girl of about 15 answered the door and my dad asks to speak to her mother. When the mother came to the door, he asked if she was so and so, she said yes, your mother was so and so, she said yes and your grandmother was so and so, again she said yes: my daddy replied hat he was HE WAS HER COUSIN FROM UNITED STATES. He was invited in and he asked the young girl to go and get Mary Ann and Bob. All total, the trip lasted 6 weeks. My sister, Mary Ann, told me that while on the trip she mentioned to Bob that, "When would you like to do something?" He said, "Sorry, this trip is for your dad." Yes, they did go back more than once, so I am sure my sister was able to do what she wanted. Dolley, Robert Carlin (I153)
